80-Hour Course Description
This comprehensive 80-hour training program is designed to prepare current and aspiring administrators for the complexities of managing assisted living communities in Maryland. Fully approved by the Maryland office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ), the curriculum is rigorously aligned with both state regulation (COMAR 10.07.14) and the National Associations for long-term Board (NAB) of Residential Care/Assisted Living (RC/AL) Domains of Practice. We have added the newer 2025 regulations from the State of Maryland, Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ).
The course is structured in four distinct domains to ensure holistic development:

Phase 1: Clinical Fundamentals & Resident Care: Focuses on the "Care, Services, and Supports " NAB domains, covering the philosophy of assisted living, the aging process, dementia care, assessment, service planning, and clinical management.​

Phase 2: Management Operations, & Regulatory Compliance: Focuses on the "Operations and Environment/Quality" NAB domains, providing advanced training in emergency preparedness, quality assurance, human resources, financial management, and the state survey process.
